1530 new sick of corona in Delhi, three died; Infection rate reached 8.41 percent

On Sunday, 1530 new patients infected with the corona virus were found in Delhi and three infected people died. At the same time, the infection rate has increased to 8.41 percent. This is the fifth consecutive day when more than 1300 cases of Kovid have come.

According to the Health Bulletin of the Health Department, 18,183 samples were tested a day earlier. Due to the fresh infection, the total cases of Kovid in Delhi have so far reached 19,22,089, while the death toll has increased to 26,232.

On Saturday, 1534 patients were found in Delhi, while the infection rate was 7.71 percent and three patients died. On Friday, 1797 infected were found, which was the highest number of cases in nearly four months, while the infection rate was 8.18 percent.
The cases on Friday were the highest since February 4, when 2272 patients were found and 20 people died. However, on February 4, the infection rate was 3.85 percent. At the same time, Sunday’s infection rate is the highest after January 28. The infection rate on 28 January this year was 8.6 percent.
The national capital recorded 1,323 new Covid cases and two deaths on Thursday, while the positivity rate stood at 6.69 per cent. Despite the increase in the positivity rate, the city government is not implementing the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) prepared by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority as hospitalizations are low.
