9/11 terrorist attack: America was financially shaken by this attack, insurance industry had suffered so much

The terrorist attack on America on September 11, 2001, had shown the sick face of terror to the whole world on one hand, and on the other hand, America, which was called the world’s superpower, was financially shaken. In this attack, America lost its innocent civilians and employees working in various services. At the same time, it proved to be very harmful to the insurance industry.

According to a report by the Insurance Information Institute, $25 billion in insurance damage was caused in this attack, which came under the category of man-made disaster. If we talk about major accidents in the world, then it is the eighth-most expensive insurance damages. But here it is to be noted that in the top 10 costly damages, the remaining nine are natural disasters.

If we talk about the damages of expensive insurance, then in this category comes Hurricane Katrina which came in 2005. This caused an insurance loss of about $60 billion. At the same time, there was a loss of US $ 40 billion due to the tsunami storm in Japan. The three hurricanes in 2017 caused insurance losses of US$32 billion, US$30 billion, and US$30 billion in North America, the United States, and North America, respectively.

So far 250 firefighters have lost their lives due to illnesses related to the 9/11 attacks. Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said in a statement that on September 11, 2001, alone, we had lost 343 firefighters. At the same time, 250 members have left us due to diseases related to it. From 2002 to 2010, 52 firefighters lost their lives due to accident-related illness, and from 2011 to 2015, 78 firefighters lost their lives.

Terrorist organization Al-Qaeda hijacked four American planes, crashed two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, the third to the Pentagon outside Washington DC and the fourth to Pennsylvania fields.

More than three thousand people lost their lives in the 9/11 accident. About 400 policemen and security personnel of the fire brigade were also involved in these. Those skilled in the attack were 372 people from different countries of the world, including the plane hijackers, as well as citizens of 77 countries. About 3,000 victims and 19 kidnappers were killed in these attacks. As of June 2009, 836 emergency workers, including firefighters and police personnel, have been killed, according to the New York State Department of Health.

Of the 2,752 victims killed in the attack on the World Trade Center, 343 were firefighters and 60 police officers from New York City and the Port Authority. 184 people were killed in the attack on the Pentagon. The casualties were a large number of civilians, including citizens of 70 countries.
