Sabdil, who is serving a life sentence, has sought a stay in the High Court citing health reasons.

During the hearing of the case, the court was told on behalf of the officials of Ambala Central Jail that Sabdil has eye and heart disease and is being treated at Chandigarh PGI. Rs 1,50,000 was also deposited by the Central Jail for his treatment. It was also told to the court that medicines are being given to Sabadil as per the instructions of the doctors of Chandigarh PGI. Petitioner’s lawyer Mohindra Singh Joshi urged the court to get the petitioner checked up by doctors.
After hearing all the parties, the court ordered the Haryana government to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the petitioner and get her checked up at PGI Chandigarh’s Heart Center. While adjourning the hearing of the case till August 3, the court has also ordered to submit the status report of Sabadil’s health on the next hearing.
Let us inform that on October 18 last year, the Panchkula CBI Court had sentenced four other accused including Sabdil to life imprisonment. Former Dera manager Ranjit Singh was shot dead in 2002. He was murdered for his suspected role in circulating an unknown letter.
According to the CBI, Dera chief Ram Rahim believed that Ranjit Singh was behind the publication of this unknown letter and that he had conspired to kill her. hatched.
