Sri Lanka has been battling financial crisis for the last few months. Foreign debt continues to increase. Meanwhile, 9 new cabinet ministers took oath. Former Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, Independent MP Sushil Premjayanta, Vijayadas Rajapakse, Tiran Ales and nine ministers were sworn in by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. 4 ministers took oath last week.
According to reports, the Sri Lankan cabinet will have 25 members including the President and the Prime Minister. Nimal Siripala de Silva will be the Minister of Navy and Aviation Services to the Ports. Sushil Premjayanta has been appointed as the Education Minister. Also Keheliya Rambukwella took oath as Minister of Health and Vijayadas Rajapaksa as Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs, Constitutional Reforms.
Sri Lanka’s central bank informed that the country has received foreign exchange for the payment of fuel and cooking gas shipments in view of the clash between the police and the protesters. it will give some relief.

A few months back the economic crisis started in the country. Now in danger of bankruptcy. Gradually it became clear that the Rajapaksa family had misused their political clout very badly. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse. Strong nepotism even among cabinet ministers. When the water reached his throat, President Gotabaya removed Bhai Mahinda from the post of Prime Minister. A new unity government was formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
